Video format & quality
Nodalin records to WebM (or falls back to MP4 depending on your browser). Update: Nodalin now comes with its own MPEG encoder and records to MP4 despite your browser! Recording quality is fixed to a very high bitrate to prioritize visual fidelity; video encoding settings are not currently user-adjustable. Custom export resolutions and more video formats are planned for a future update.
Transparency
To enable transparency in the rendering, head to Main menu
→ File → Settings and toggle on Enable Transparent Background. When the toggle is on, the rendering appears with a checkerboard pattern to indicate transparency. Exports will preserve the alpha channel, which is useful when importing your visuals into video editing software for further compositing or use as an overlay.
