Understanding the Audio Node

Frequency Range Selection

The Audio node analyzes a specific frequency band and outputs its average amplitude:

Common Frequency Ranges:

  • Sub-bass: 20-60 Hz (kick drum fundamentals)

  • Bass: 60-250 Hz (bass guitar, kick drum)

  • Low mids: 250-500 Hz (guitars, vocals)

  • Mids: 500-2000 Hz (vocals, snare)

  • High mids: 2000-4000 Hz (cymbals, clarity)

  • Highs: 4000-20000 Hz (air, sparkle)

The green vertical lines show your selected range. Adjust min/max while watching the spectrum to target specific sounds.
