Nodalin supports external displays for live performances, presentations, and dual-monitor workflows. Send your visuals to a projector or second monitor while keeping the editor on your primary screen.

Quick Start

  1. Click the External Display button tv in the Render View

  1. Drag the new window to your external display or projector

  2. Click the Fullscreen button (⛶) in the external window

  3. Click "Got it, Proceed" in the confirmation dialog

The canvas switches to your display's native resolution automatically.

Closing the external window returns the canvas to the editor

Best Practices

  1. Set aspect ratio first (16:9 for projectors, 9:16 for vertical displays)

  2. Move window to target display before going fullscreen

  3. Avoid overlapping the external window with the editor (causes rendering to pause)

  4. Use desktop app (to be announced) for better multi-monitor support (no popup blockers)
