Dual Monitor & Projector Setup
Nodalin supports external displays for live performances, presentations, and dual-monitor workflows. Send your visuals to a projector or second monitor while keeping the editor on your primary screen.
Quick Start
Click the External Display button in the Render View

Drag the new window to your external display or projector
Click the Fullscreen button (⛶) in the external window
Click "Got it, Proceed" in the confirmation dialog

The canvas switches to your display's native resolution automatically.
Best Practices
Set aspect ratio first (16:9 for projectors, 9:16 for vertical displays)
Move window to target display before going fullscreen
Avoid overlapping the external window with the editor (causes rendering to pause)
Use desktop app (to be announced) for better multi-monitor support (no popup blockers)
Note: Browsers automatically pause rendering in background or overlapped windows for security and performance. If the external display overlaps the editor, or the editor is minimised — rendering will stop. Always move the external window to a separate display or ensure windows don't overlap.
Troubleshooting
External window won't open:
Allow popups in browser settings
Use the desktop app (to be announced)
Rendering stops:
Don't overlap windows
Don't mimize the Editor window
Move external window to a different physical display
Exit fullscreen:
Press
EsckeyClick the fullscreen button (⛶)
